Dubkasm are comprised of childhood friends Digistep and DJ Stryda, who kicked off their dub project in the mid-'90s before going on to launch their Sufferah's Choice label in 2003 in order to showcase their studio productions. Their 2009 debut album 'Transform I' was a culmination of their work so far, collecting tracks from their previous 12-inches and including vocal turns from Dub Judah, Levi Roots and Afrikan Simba. A dub version of the entire record along with a remix CD completed the Transform I Trilogy in 2010.
2013 saw the release of their iconic tune “Victory!” - which remains to this day one of the biggest anthems in modern sound system music. Having received the official remix treatment from none other than Mala, and having made it into the repertoire of the likes of the Outlook Orchestra, Victory! is one of those rare tunes which still receives heavy rotation from many of the international sound system scene’s leading protagonists, but never loses its freshness or ability to make you smile.
Fast forward through 2018 and a score of releases on esteemed labels such as Peng Sound, ZamZam, and their own imprint Sufferah’s Choice - including their latest full-length album “Rastrumentals”, which is the culmination of 7 years of studio work between Brazil & Brixton - Dubkasm continue to push out a positive message through quality roots & dub reggae productions and regular live shows across the globe.

A unique producer with a unique style, Goth-Trad has emerged from the Japanese electronic scene in the last decade as one of the most arresting artists from his generation. ‘The Sound Originator,’ Goth-Trad creates remarkable dance music with an abstract approach.
Goth-Trad’s music career started in 1998. He soon formed Rebel Familia in 2001 with Takeshi ‘Heavy’ Akimoto (ex-member of Dry & Heavy) while continuing to work on his own. From abstract electronica to noise, from dub and reggae to jungle and rave music, grime to dubstep, Goth-Trad has always experimented and in the process developed his own unique style: blending influences and delivering music that is constantly evolving.
Between 2001 and 2004 Goth-Trad grew his notoriety on the Tokyo underground and went on his first European tour. He also released his first album, Goth-Trad I, and opened for The Mars Volta during their 2004 Japanese tour. His second album was released in January 2005, titled The Inverted Perspective it focused on the improvisational live style he had been developing in previous years and which he would continue to refine to this day. In March he played in Korea and in the summer established a new style called Mad Rave. ‘Mad Rave’ is Goth-Trad’s own take on dance music, refined and musically distilled through years of work.
This led to his third album, Mad Raver’s Dance Floor released in November 2005. Over 10 tracks the album condenses more than 10 years of dance music into an amalgamation of styles which flows seamlessly. The release tour for the album travelled to Berlin, Paris, Metz, London and 8 Japanese cities.
It was with this third album that Goth-Trad would finally break into the international market during 2006 thanks primarily to one track - Back To Chill - which would soon become synonymous with the Japanese dubstep scene. Inspired by the grime sounds he’d heard in London in previous years, Back To Chill also became the name of Goth-Trad’s monthly dubstep night in Tokyo - set up in 2006 - and saw a release on the UK label Skud Beats, his first official single on a non-Japanese label. At the same time Goth-Trad embarked on his fourth European tour, where he met with dubstep pioneer Mala from Digital Mystikz, at the seminal dubstep night FWD>>. This meeting led to Goth-Trad being signed to Mala’s Deep Medi Musik label and become a fixture of the international dubstep scene, which from 2006 onwards grew at an exponential rate and Goth-Trad soon became one of the genre’s most recognised and loved international artists.
From 2007 onwards Goth-Trad received increased support, respect and interest from across the dubstep and electronica scenes worldwide with people like The Bug, Kode 9, Blackdown, Juju and Skream all playing his music and sharing stages with him. Mary Ann Hobbs was also an early supporter on her Breezeblock show on BBC Radio 1.
Goth-Trad released his first 12” single for Deep Medi Musik in 2007, Cut End. That same year he also released a new Rebel Familia album, includ- ing collaborations with legends Arie Up and Max Romeo. He continued to tour extensively in Japan as well as starting more regular European tours where he appeared at the legendary DMZ dances among others. His eclectic and varied live show made him a firm favourite of European audiences and he has toured Europe every year since 2007.
In 2008 he released singles on both Skud Beats and Soul Jazz Records and for the first time he toured China in April. At the same time he continued to grow the Back To Chill nights in Tokyo providing a platform for the burgeoning Japanese dubstep scene. Over the coming years the night would see new Japanese talent added to the resident line up and play host to both local and international guests.
From 2009 to 2011 Goth-Trad continued to tour in Europe, Japan and Asia and released singles on Deep Medi Musik as well as remixes for European and Japanese artists leading to the Babylon Fall EP in late 2011, the precursor to New Epoch his fourth album. New Epoch was released on Deep Medi in early 2012 and marked Goth-Trad as one of the most important voices in dubstep. The album received praise from around the world with the UK’s FACT Magazine heralding it as one of the best dubstep albums of the year.
With New Epoch marking yet another milestone in Goth-Trad’s career, the Japanese one-man army - as Kode 9 once referred to him - is set to continue on his unique path. Always charting new territories while staying true to what motivates him:
making good and honest music that reflects the world around him.
After the release of New Epoch, Goth-Trad embarked on his worldwide tour across Europe, US and Asia including many Festivals such as Coachella, Fuji Rock, Outlook Festival, and Lockdown (Natherlands) to name a few. During the tour Goth-Trad was involved with various projects including the Dubspot workshop in New York and a project in Japan called “Z-Machines”, where he was asked to produce a piece of music for the first ever Robot Band. In the UK Fabric, invited him to play and also asked Goth-Trad to provide a mix for the event, around this time Goth-Trad was asked to remix Danny Scrilla and Lea Lea, Goth Trad showed his new direction on both remixes, especially “Lea Lea - Black Or White (Goth-Trad Remix)“ awarded 3rd place on XLR8R’s Best of 2013 : Top Downloads.
Alongside producing and touring, Goth-Trad still runs Japan’s most famous bass driven club night, Back To Chill in Tokyo city every month, inviting the newest local producers to play alongside the scene’s for runners such as The Bug and Kode9.
Not only do Goth-Trad and his team organize and curate the event with cutting edge, stunning visuals but Goth-Trad also provides the sound pressure with his very own soundsystem. In 2014 he collaborated with Red Bull Music Academy Tokyo for “Back To Chill - A Red Bull Music Academy Special Party” which invited American sludge metal band “The Body”.
In November 2014, he started his own Back To Chill label. In 2015, GOTH-TRAD found a dubplate cutting studio “Was Alchemy” near his house, and he restarted cutting dubplates. As can be seen from his approach like the remix for Japanese noise core band “ENDON” and a collaboration with Heavy Rock Band “Boris”, his music was becoming more alternative. In 2016, his Back To Chill night had the 10th Anniversary, and he released very limited Dubplate & USB digital album “PSIONICS”. He featured “Boris” and American Experimental Hiphop MC “Dälek” on the limited dubplate.
In 2017, his Back To Chill had the first international show in Taipei. And he formed new band “EARTAKER” with vocalist “Diesuck” and noise artist “Masayuki Imanishi”.
EARTAKER’s debut album will be released in September 2018 from Bedouin Records.

South London born Croydon veteran, Pokes' voice has been synononomous with the bass soaked sounds of DMZ, Swamp81, Deep Dark & Dangerous, Wheel & Deal, Magnetic Man, Deep Medi, Ntype, Benga and Skream to name a few of the heavyweights that have sought out his vocal control of the dance.
More in line with the dance hosts of old, Pokes works as a conduit between DJ and crowd, giving the sound the room and space to breathe inside the dance. Pokes hosts a set with animal instinct and kinetic energy with the keen understanding that the music is the focus.

Dungeon Beats is a Poznań based crew of seven, operating at the promoter, producer and DJ level in the field of underground electronic music of dubstep/dub/drum and bass /techno/ambient /minimal.
The birth of Dungeon Beats took place in 2015 with the start of the original series of the same title, which is both the basis for action and the signature of the group. The first edition in March 2015, within the walls of the legendary “8 Bitów” club, can be considered the beginning of its existence. Originally, the creators' common goal was to activate the local Dubstep scene, promote sounds of 140BPM and familiarize the audience with the most interesting artists of the world top, as well as the leading selectors. After moving to a new place - “Projekt Lab”, they managed to organize another eleven editions with plenty of great guests (eg Leon Switch, Nomine, J: Kenzo, Kahn, LSN or recently OPUS and Taiko), conscientiously fulfilling the initial establishments of the initiative.
The primal goal, however did not remain final, which resulted in guest performances at fellow initiatives in Poznań (such as DrumObsesssion, Digital Organism, Dub System), and many Polish cities (Warsaw, Tricity, Katowice, Cracow), making steps towards performances abroad (Prague, Leicester). Keen to leave the club walls, they performed at a few open-air festivals such as Boski Fest, Bass Camp and famous Outlook Festival or one-day outdoor events (Void Sessions). The group broadcasts an original show on SUB.FM radio station, hosted by CrissNSA (every other Sunday, 00:00 GMT + 1). Entire (UVB-76 Music, din is noise records, Groundwork Recordings) and Hitman (KWAIOTO Records, Indigo Movement, Abysmal Entities) are the leading producers. The rest of the group is completed by Ewski, Gastro, k.o and responsible for graphic design and videography - ExiD.

THE MINE was launched nearly seven years ago in Brighton, United Kingdom. We are the team of audio and visual enthusiasts responsible for dubstep events, that are powered by custom made sound systems and live 3D mapped visuals within the space designed across minimalism. We have always concentrated on the quality of the production of the event and we have experimented with various audio and visual setups over the years to craft the perfect experience. We have hosted multiple dubstep producers & DJs from all over the world and have always supported emerging and niche artists within the scene. We are based in „The Volks“ - one of the oldest, most-legendary underground venues in Brighton with 300 capacity with no sound restrictions. Our events run until the party lasts, we operate re-entry policy to give extra freedom to guests and we have best security ever, who even dance when it's popping! When you leave you see the sea in front of you, that also gives you a very nice after-party spot in the warmer months. Even though our home is “The Volks”, every now and then we host one off events at various locations, that tolerate our approach - no matter where we go, it has to be a wall of bass size of the room. The key to THE MINE - a particularly fitting one, given it’s dedication to dubstep - is a “less is more” attitude when it comes to production and audiophile quality sound. It took us time to build up a regular following, but we get a really nice mix of people these days - old and new faces of various ages all there because of music. People are traveling from all over the country & beyond and we see our merchandise popping up all over the world!
Sub Basics (Tom Wood) is a Bristol based bass music producer, DJ and, as of recently - a music label owner. In his productions you can spot multiple influences (i. e. jungle, grime, jazz) and all of his music has that distinct, unique style that can't be reproduced by anyone else. He is probably most recognized for his 140bpm tracks, frequently receiving support from the likes of genre's most well-known figures like V.I.V.E.K and J:Kenzo. But if you have followed Tom over the years, you know Dubstep is not the only genre he is working on. In addition to the always-so-exciting quality of his music, his ability to work with different tempos and styles is what makes him so unique and interesting. By taking a look at Sub Basics' discography over the last couple of years, you can find dungeon-like tracks sharing the release with jazz/ambient inspired cuts on his "Khora" EP; smooth, beautiful and melancholic record released on Visceral Vibrations, soundsystem killer riddim-style 12" released on Infernal Sounds and most recently, slowed-down tribal madness with loads of low-end that is too hard to classify with one genre name: "Shipment" EP released on his newly founded label "Temple Of Sound". One thing is sure here - with such characteristics of his past releases, plenty of music planned for releases on Temple Of Sound and impressive catalogue of unreleased dubplates, one cannot predict what will happen during his Bass Camp set!
Ishan Sound plays dubplate packed, vinyl only sets. Wether strictly heavyweight 140 or a wider tempo range blend steppers and dub, its music built for soundsystem. Ishan Sound is based in the U.K. and is embedded in Bristol’s music community as a founding member of Young Echo and regularly releasing on Tectonic, Peng Sound and Hotline Record labels. Performances feature some of the most anticipated and exclusive dubs on the scene along with many of Ishan’s low-end-focused melody-rich production.

We started putting on dances since late 2009 and have had a number of great parties throughout the last few years, mainly in the basement of the Take Five Cafe but sometimes also in other Stokes Croft venues.
The love for music and d.i.y. culture inspired us to move things forward and establish a record label, putting forward the music we like to listen and dance to. It is a direct product of bristol’s soundsystem culture and it’s wealth of creativity and musical freedom.
Both the label and events have strong belief in an honest, real and personal approach to things: face to face conversations, word of mouth recommendations, listening to vinyl & cassettes, hand-built soundsystems, dub sirens, cheering crowds and the joys of dancing together to one rhythm.

Amoul Bayi Showcase is the Live Act continuity of a musical production work engaged by the Amoul Bayi Records label (based in Dakar, Senegal) with as a main aim to bridge the Reggae Dub scene with West Africa artists.
Like their first disc, the iconic "Bamba" where digital rhythm, deep bass and flights of West African Kora meet the bewitching melodies in Wolof (language of Senegal) of the singer Daba Makourejah, the Ammoul Bayi Showcase offers a set at the crossroads between Kingston, London and Dakar!
Saah Karim - is one of the most talented singers of the new African reggae scene. Coming from a family of Griots, music has always been second nature to him. He was nicknamed “The Lyrical Warrior” because of his flowing and incisive writing style. He masters the codes of Jamaican music and cultivates his own originality with his unique West African voice and committed lyrics reflecting the stakes of the African continent and of Humanity in general! He will present on stage his new album "The Lyrical Warrior" produced by the Senegalese label.
Fabyah Forward, founder of Amoul Bayi Records label, works to strengthen the links between the international Reggae Dub scene and African artists. He is at the selection of AMOUL BAYI SHOWCASE and offers an original set mixing vinyl selections, dubplates straight out of the Dakar studio and other exclusivities.
Duo made a huge impact on the Dubstep scene since their debut release 'Bun Down Babylon' on Green King Cuts 2 years ago. Since then, the Bristol based duo (consisting of Jevon Ives & Chris Iona), have had some killer releases on Infernal Sounds and White Peach Records with their latest 12" white label release selling over 950 copies in just a couple of days. They have traveled across the world to present bass lovers with their unique 100% dub plate set.
Its safe to say DE-TU are a force to be reckoned with - come and meditate on bass weight.
Firmly established in the dubstep scene for several years, Tomas Roels, better known as TMSV, has decided to switch things up. The Dutch producer took a few steps back from the music scene to experiment and search for a new sound to call his own and now his latest output takes inspiration from jungle, grime, footwork, dubstep and other bass music. No longer constrained by genre or tempo, TMSV’s sub-powered, percussive dread music is , yet recognisable. TMSV is a perfectionist behind the decks and his multi-genre sets tear up dancefloors at renowned club nights in Europe and beyond. Look out for releases recent on Om Unit’s Cosmic Bridge imprint, J:Kenzo’s Artikal label and the recently minted Rua Sound.
Long before the UK garage revival kicked in and “future” garage had even been dreamt up, Sully began finding a space between 2step’s swing, dubstep’s edge and breakstep’s drums, all underpinned by the rude spirit of jungle.
While he has preferred to keep a relatively low profile and remain around the peripheries of the quick hype, quick decay climate of the burgeoning bass music scene, his music has found a sense of permanence, the longevity of which speaks volumes of his talent.
It all started in the mid 90’s when Roots Arna began to collect record vinyls and specially jamaican roots-reggae Music. As part of the reggae, the UK sound system Culture was his main influence to be a conscious music selector. After been part of many different Music Collective and sound system, in 2009 Roots Arna decide to create his own identity: Salomon Heritage. Shortly it became a home made sound system characterised by a warm and a clear sound. After some time they became also a record music label access on the melody and the spiritual music, that collaborated with many different Producer/Artist like Kibir La Amlak, Murray Man, Prince Jamo, King General, Aba Ariginal and Ras Tweed. Label have now a large catalog of Maxi’s and LP’s that have been played by many sound systems and radio shows internationally (Jah Shaka, Channel One, David Rodigan...) Roots Arna have being touring all over the world (Europe, USA, Jamaica...) to spread through his Musical Selection the Conscious and Spiritual Message.
During his BASS CAMP 2019 set he will perform with saxophonist Idan "I-Jah" Salomon - Artist Page.
Originally hailing from Lafayette, Louisiana, Bukkha (or
sometimes known as Preacha when he ventures into the darker realms of bass music) is a force to be reckoned with. Having taken up guitar and bass from the age of 11, he showed a strong passion and adeptness for music from an early aged. Drawing on a wide range of influences from the likes of Scientist, Luke Vibert, Madlib & Billie Holiday, it was only a matter of time before he tried his hand at production. Within a year of beginning to program his own take on deep and dubbed-out dubstep, his tune "Under" was signed to the aptly named UK-based " Dubbed Out" imprint , which saw a subsequent vinyl release in 2009, featuring a Radikal Guru remix on the flip side. Following his debut, he was given the honor of remixing some of the scene's heavyweights such as Roommate, Radikal Guru and Tuff & Powa among others. During the next years he became a staple of the Gulf Coast's dub & bass music scene, where he honed his skills as a deejay and gained a strong reputation for his energetic sets. Fast-forward to 2015, when Bukkha decided to make the move across the pond to Valladolid, Spain, where he got right down to business and spent a good portion of the next 3 years in the studio. During this time he went on to release 3 heavyweight EP's on the legendary Moonshine Recordings (including "Ruling Sound" with Junior Dread), plus another 4 on the US-based Dub-Stuy Records - including " Guns N Fiyah " with Junior Dread and his 2017 anthem "Death Chat" with Killa P ( which still receives heavy rotation from some of the scenes biggest names). Not to mention a slew of other quality releases on esteemed labels such as ZamZam Sounds, Grand Ancestor & 4Weed Records . Under his " Preacha " alias he recently released yet another heavyweight anthem "Chasing Dreams" , which features the vocals of Bristol-based lyricist and musical activist Rider Shafique, and received the remix treatment by none other than DJ
Belgium based producers that started at the dawn of the new Millenium. A collaboration of : Kay & Nitrox. They have released on labels such has : Samurai, Cylon, Hardware, Translation, 45seven, CX digital, Alphacut & many others. The duo is known for their heavyweight tribal sound. Kay's unique style is a mixture of Heavy Dubby BLines and Percussive energy. While Nitrox brings some thumping kicks and distorted bass. The duo will deliver a heavyweight selection that is guaranteed to damage any sound system. A fresh sound for anyone wanting to dip into the Deep Tribal dub side of the universe.
Solo started MCing at the age of 11 as a younger MC on his brother’s sound system King Shamma International. Experimenting with rap/hip hop for a while in his teens he finally joined Majestic Sound and was the soul selecta with Shadey aswell as the MC with Daddy MG. After years of sound system expirience imn 2009 he released a great hit "Talk to me" on Jahtari & Maffi. Many were thinking thats he is one song artist but soon after his first releases he dropped "Want to go home" and "Walk Like a Rasta" on Reality Shock Records. Suprisingly his skills were recognised by many label and artists and that he is welcomed on their releases. He very quickly rise from no name artist to worldwide traveller alongside the best crews on the stage like Dubkasm, Mungos HiFi or Radikal Guru. So far he released three full lenght albums: „No”, „Walk Like Rasta” and „Higher Levels".
During BASS CAMP 2019 he will be be performing on Dub Arena alongside Peng Sound posse!
Sun Of Selah is a skilled Musician, Producer and Mc. Hailing from East London, he is relatively new to the industry but has attracted much attention and respect on the Dubstep scene. It was a Hatcha and Crazy-D set on Rinse Fm that inspired him to pick up the mic again and do what he does best: get a party skankin with conscious lyrics, a charismatic voice and positive abundance of energy. His work is a reflection of his mission statement: ‘I will always keep the DUB in Dubstep’. Heavily influenced by the dubbed out sounds of Rankin Dredd, King Tubby and The Scientist; he is committed to keep the organic
sounds of Dub alive with productions full of heavy-weight and stepping bass line.
He is currently busy cooking up some tasty beats...Watch this space! :)
